Eva Family

Mabel Emma Robson Engle (1900-1983) was the daughter of Robert Alexander Robson (1868-1938) and Cora Eva Robson (1877-1935) of Abilene, Kansas. Cora Eva Robson was the eldest daughter of Henry (1844-1916) & Hester A. (nee Sincon) (1857-1909) Eva (Abilene, Kansas). Henry had served in the Civil War in "Company H", 2 IL (Illinois), L.A. (Light Armed) for the Union Army. He married Hester, who was from Scales Mound, IL. They are buried in the Abilene Cemetery. They had 7 children, 1 son (Walter) and 6 daughters. One daughter was Lurena Eva Hensley who lived in Abilene, Kansas. Walter lived in California. Their oldest daughter was Cora, Mabel Emma's mother. Robert Alexander was born again in an "H.A. Ironside" crusade, and was instrumental in the beginnings of "Grace and Truth Gospel Chapel" in Abilene. Cora passed away in 1935, and R.A. Robson passed away in 1938.
